Victoria has the lowest rainfall and the most sunshine recorded of any West Coast region. Shawnigan Lake is only a short 30 to 40 minute drive north of Victoria and because of its higher elevation the winters are colder andhave more rain than Victoria.

Average daytime temperatures range from 22 C° / 71° F in July to 7° C / 45° F in December.

Our weather, along with the fact that Victoria offers year-round golf, whale watching, fishing, horseback riding, cycling, diving, bungy jumping, hiking, wildlife viewing, kayaking, canoeing, and much more, makes the "Garden City" an ideal destination.

The climate on southern Vancouver Island BC is even more temperate than that of Vancouver, with a sunny climate of an average of 2,000 hours of sunshine annually, the temperatures seldom drop below freezing or rise above 20 degrees Celsius.
